SANJA
Salukis have always had an essential part in Sanja's life. She handled her first saluki at a dog show
when she was only 10 years old. Sanja graduated as a Bachelor of Tourism Management from the Savonia University of Applied
Sciences in 2010. She did her final thesis about a big tourism event, "Sawo Show" dog shows in Kuopio together with Showlink Ltd., and
today she works for Showlink in Leppävirta. She spends most of her weekends at dog shows; either
working there or competing with her salukis in the show ring.
Sanja has also taken care of some saluki litters together with her mother Kristina, in co-operation with Stina & Janette Jalkanen under their prefix Aziz.
This has been really rewarding and it has been interesting to follow the puppies' development later.
KRISTINA
Kristina has had salukis since the late 1970s. She attended her first dog show in 1977 with Chanel. She has also bred one litter from Chanel. Even though she is not an active breeder today, many of her bitches have been used in breeding together with Stina & Janette Jalkanen for kennel Aziz. Kristina works as a language teacher in an upper secondary school in Turku.
PASI
Pasi has had salukis from the beginning of the 21st century. His main task at the shows has been to carry the crates
and pitch the tent. However, as there is usually a constant need for handlers, he nowadays does his fair share of handling too.
Pasi finished
his doctor's degree in biological chemistry in 2008 and is heading a research group at the University of Eastern Finland.
